Studying the design and color of clothing of the Timurid period based on Paintings by Kamaluddin Behzad

From the very beginning, the Iranians created a civilization that is another wonder in all periods of history. Since clothing is one of the most important categories of understanding culture in any society, the search for the history of clothing and its social role in Iran as a country with a long and rich cultural history. On the other hand, one of the periods of pride and glory of art in Iran is the Timurid period, which has largely led to the growth and exaltation of Iran. But when a review is made of the history of this land in order to unveil the cultural greatness of its land and study the clothes in this period, there is an ambiguity that history is a scientific research. Suffice it to the initial research in the field of clothing history of the Timurid period gives this gap in understanding the history of Iranian clothing. The history of clothing that exists from the Timurid era is based on clothing samples, but also information extracted from historical drawings and writings that do not fully and accurately determine the variety and position of clothing components in this period and is therefore necessary. The present study shows. One of the examples of important and influential works in this period is the works of Kamalud-din Behzad. He paid much attention to man in his works, and the figures in his paintings become a reference for identifying Timurid clothing. In Behzad, due to the intellectual rotation and painting from lyric drawing to drawing life, it makes the types of cover forms and even their relationship with social works better explored than other artists. Therefore, in this research, by identifying the documents related to Behzad and paying attention to their cover form, the main component, namely the cap, back cover and body cover, has been studied and the change of form has been considered in them. For this reason, 9 paintings, which belong to Behzad Moslem, researched samples and errors in analysis, should be minimized. These paintings are selected from mystical, festive or romantic subjects and from four manuscripts.
